Venezuela is experiencing an unprecedented and man-made humanitarian crisis, causing a mass exodus of its people. Thousands of children are at risk of dying from malnutrition and people are contracting formerly eradicated diseases such as measles.
As of early 2019, the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela and its neighboring countries continues to deteriorate dramatically as millions of Venezuelans continued to flee the country in search of safety and a better life.
In total, more than 3 million people have fled Venezuela. CARE, in partnership with local organizations, is providing food and nutrition services as well as critical health service referrals and psycho-social support to vulnerable Venezuelans and the communities hosting them in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
