One month on from one of the most devastating natural disasters to ever hit the South Pacific, international aid organisation CARE has now begun distributing thousands of seeds to Vanuatu’s hardest-hit southern islands.

On World Health Day (7 April) CARE International voices its concern about the deteriorating health situation of more than 600,000 Syrian refugees living in Jordan, and calls on the international community to share the burden with the Government of Jordan.

“With Yemen being one of the poorest countries in the Middle East, the impacts on civilians could be catastrophic if the fighting continues,” said Daw Mohammed, CARE Country Director in Yemen.
