On World AIDS Day-2006, CARE International staged an event in the European Parliament with eleven other NGOs to remind policy makers to "Keep their promises" on HIV and AIDS. CARE and the other NGOs created a display of policy commitments and statements from the EU and Member states. On November 29-30, CARE held informal education sessions for Parliamentarians and their staffers on HIV and AIDS topics and distributed over 1,000 HIV/AIDS ribbons.
